Periodontal Examination

A complete periodontal examination will be done including full mouth xrays if your dentist does not have current ones, measurements around your teeth to check for periodontal pockets (periodontal probing), check for bleeding or pus, mobility (loose teeth), evaluation of your occlusion (your bite), decay or missing teeth, and a soft tissue cancer screening. Your dental and medical history will be reviewed as well.
